February 12, 2025

A junta airstrike on Mogok, Mandalay Region, killed five civilians and injured 19 others, according to an official statement from the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA).

At approximately 1:00 a.m. today, the military dropped around 20 bombs on the western part of Mogok, resulting in the deaths of five men and injuries to 19 people, including five women and 14 men. Residential buildings were also damaged in the attack.

TNLA stated that this was a deliberate attack on civilians, citing a similar incident on February 6 in Naungcho Township, where a junta jet fighter dropped a bomb despite the absence of active fighting. That strike destroyed shelters at the Thapyay Taung Pagoda compound and left one man injured.
