Airstrikes on Manta Village in Mansi Township Kill Two, Including an 8-Year-Old Child, and Injure Three Others

The military carried out four airstrikes on Manta Village in Mansi Township, Kachin State, killing two civilians, including an 8-year-old child, and injuring three others, including two young children, according to local residents.

The attack took place on February 21 between 4:08 p.m. and 4:19 p.m., during which at least 12 bombs were dropped on the village. The victims were identified as 8-year-old Maung Ngwa Sar Lay and 20-year-old Ma Ya Ma Si, both of whom died instantly.

Among the injured were 8-month-old Ma Ngwa Ye Mi, who sustained injuries to her left cheek and arm, and 10-year-old Maung Lu Ka, who suffered a wound to his right thigh. Additionally, 27-year-old Daw Htun Sanda sustained an injury to her left arm.
