Nine Bodies Recovered, 43 Rescued Alive from Sky Villa Collapse in Mandalay

At least nine bodies have been recovered, and 43 people have been rescued alive from the collapsed Sky Villa building in Aungmyaythazan Township, Mandalay Region, according to a statement from the Fire Services Department.

The high-rise building collapsed on March 28 following a powerful earthquake, trapping multiple residents inside. Rescue operations are being carried out by the Central Fire Services Training School, Pyin Oo Lwin Fire Station, and other relevant organizations.

As of now, 43 survivors have been rescued, while the bodies of nine deceased individuals have been recovered. Search and rescue efforts are continuing.
