Four civilians, including three elderly men and a 20-year-old youth, were killed when Myanmar junta forces launched a paramotor bombing attack on Sar Kyin Village in Sarlingyi Township, Sagaing Region, according to local residents.
The attack occurred at around 9 a.m. on June 28, despite the absence of any armed conflict in the area. Two bombs were dropped from military paramotors—light aircraft used by the military for aerial strikes—belonging to the Northwestern Regional Command, locals said.
“Two paramotors flew in around 9 a.m. and dropped bombs on Sar Kyin Village. Four people were killed. All were villagers from Sar Kyin,” a local resident said.
The deceased have been identified as U Kyaw Win (around 50), U Pho Thein (around 60), U Htin Aung (63), and Maung Thet Htoo (20).
The bombing has caused panic in the community, with villagers fleeing to seek shelter in nearby areas for safety.
