The KNU Central Command reported that the terrorist military junta carried out air and artillery strikes on villages in Ledo and Sawhti townships, Bago Region, resulting in the deaths of five civilians—including a 4-year-old child—and injuring 25 others.
troops from the junta’s Khala-264 battalion fired two 81mm artillery shells in Ledo township, hitting wells and causing explosions in Pinzaloke village.
On June 29, the junta’s Taungngu air force fighter jets bombed Waegyi-Waedaw village, killing Daw Thet Oo (35), Daw Aye Aye Oo (67), Daw Khin Shwe (65), and 4-year-old Maung Zwe Pyay, while 25 civilians were injured.
On June 28 at about 7:20 PM, Khala-264 battalion soldiers fired a Howitzer artillery shell in Sawhti township, striking Chon Inn village, killing 75-year-old U Nyar Thaung Tin and damaging one house.
The KNU Central Command stated that these targeted attacks by the junta military against innocent civilians cause daily deaths, injuries, and widespread fear and anxiety, severely affecting the lives of the local population.
