One civilian was killed and eight others injured when the Myanmar military carried out four separate airstrikes on Yelaymaw Village in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, according to Ko Naga Lay, a representative of the Wetlet Informational Network.
The attacks occurred at around 9:00 a.m. on July 11, when a J-Fighter jet from the junta’s Tada-U airbase dropped six 100-pound bombs and opened fire with machine guns during a series of raids on the eastern part of Wetlet Township.
Over the course of four bombing runs, a civilian man in his 50s was killed, and eight others — including children — were injured, the network reported.
The injured include 14-year-old Ko Pyae Phyo Khant, 7-year-old Thun Su Khaing Htet, Kyi Zin Lin, 9-year-old Htet Oo Yan, 35-year-old U Than Oo, 41-year-old U Khine Maung Swe, 33-year-old Ko Nay Htet Lin, and 22-year-old Ma Ton Ton.
