A protest march and press conference denouncing Myanmar’s military coup and the upcoming sham election were held in Seoul, South Korea, on July 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in front of the War Memorial of Korea, directly opposite the South Korean Presidential Office.
The event was jointly organized by the Myanmar Federal Democracy Movement Coalition (MFDMC), the Anti-Myanmar Military Coup Committee (Korea), 22 supporting organizations under MFDMC, and South Korean civil society groups advocating for Myanmar’s democracy.
As part of the demonstration, organizers delivered an open letter containing seven demands related to the Myanmar issue directly to the South Korean Presidential Office, calling for increased international pressure and support for the pro-democracy movement in Myanmar.
