In a tragic incident, the military has reportedly executed political prisoner Kyaung Pauk with a landmine in the Yumang neighborhood of the Hsipaw District in Shan State. Local sources confirm that Kyaung Pauk, who lived in the Myo Cone area of Yumang, had been detained by the military for approximately a month. The military had taken residence in the house where he was being held captive, conducting military-style interrogations of detainees for an extended period. It has been reported that Kyaung Pauk was killed when the military activated a landmine in the house. Sources indicate that the military had planted the landmine to prevent the homeowner from entering the premises. They forced Kyaung Pauk to enter the house first, leading to the fatal explosion that resulted in his death. Additionally, on April 11, military forces searched for PDFs in the Min Palong village group, resulting in the arrest of at least ten young individuals during nighttime operations within the village.
