The Myanmar military raided a Black Eagle Defence Force camp near Paeku Village in Myaing Township, Sagaing Region, capturing and killing eight resistance fighters, including Wai Yan Phyoe, the spokesperson for the Sagaing University Students’ Union. According to the Myaing Township Information Group, the fighters were captured alive but were later executed by strangulation and gunshot wounds before their bodies were set on fire.
