The military has reportedly blocked a Christian orphanage in Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay, claiming it is linked to the PDF, leaving orphaned children without shelter and forced to sleep in the streets.
On November 2, around 6 p.m., the military surrounded the Christian orphanage located in Block 52 of Salone Ward in Pyigyidagun Township, based on accusations related to the PDF. Currently, the children residing at the orphanage are experiencing severe hardships due to the lack of a place to sleep.
A local resident expressed their concern, stating, “The military, with their full force, has invaded the orphanage at night, pulling the children from their beds and forcing them to carry items out. These innocent children, who have committed no crime, are being subjected to harsh treatment. Where will these orphaned children go now? They are being forced into the streets without any proper shelter at night.”
Reports indicate that the military continues to monitor the blocked orphanage closely, dressed in civilian clothes.
