In Melbourne, Australia, members of the Myanmar community gathered to celebrate the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. The event was held at Federation Square in the city center, where participants expressed their wishes for the release of political prisoners, including the birthday celebrant, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and President U Win Myint. People from different faiths, including Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism, conducted prayers and expressed their wishes through chants.
Additionally, during the celebration, U Kyaw Wan Na, the secretary of the National League for Democracy’s Central Research Department, delivered a speech. Daw Nwe Nyi Htun, a former student leader and one of the event organizers, also shared remarks during the gathering.
