In Thipaw, Shan State, the military has conducted airstrikes using Y-12 aircraft, dropping over 50 bombs, resulting in the death of one local resident, as reported by the TNLA. The airstrikes occurred between 9 AM and 10 AM, targeting the western neighborhoods of Thipaw and the Sinmala People’s Park, causing significant destruction. Homes in the affected areas were damaged, and a local resident lost their life while another was injured due to the blasts.
Additionally, on the evening of September 15, around 9:16 PM, artillery fire from a military base hit the Zatsuu neighborhood in Thipaw, igniting a house in flames. The TNLA has stated that these aerial bombardments and artillery strikes are directly targeting civilians, resulting in multiple casualties among local populations and damage to religious buildings, schools, and residential homes.
Moreover, in Leido Township, Pakokku District, artillery fire from the military has injured one woman, according to KNU reports. On September 13, at approximately 11 AM, artillery from the Khamyar-307 battalion hit the Zayakkhin village, injuring 82-year-old Daw Hla Shwe.
