Residents reported that one woman was killed by artillery fire from the military in Thandee Village, Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, without any ongoing combat. At around 9 AM today, October 3, artillery stationed at Ye-U Hospital targeted nearby villages, causing shells to explode within Thandee Village, resulting in the death of one woman, identified as Ma Khin Myo Myint, aged 39.
A relative of the deceased, a cousin of Ma Khin Myo Myint, stated, “The deceased is Ma Khin Myo Myint. She is 39 years old. She was working in her field when the artillery shell exploded. The shell entered her head and she died on the spot. There was no battle. The military fired without any ongoing conflict.”
Today, it is reported that the military stationed at Ye-U Hospital fired heavy artillery, including 120mm and 80mm shells, towards Ngwe Tone and Thandee villages, causing significant damage and casualties within the villages.
