A Myanmar military airstrike targeted the village of East Kala in Pekon Township, Shan State, resulting in the deaths of two civilians, according to a representative from the Pekon Township Public Security Force. The attack occurred without any reported clash in the area.
The airstrike took place at approximately 11:05 p.m. on November 8, targeting East Kala village in Pekon Township. It left two displaced civilians dead and destroyed several homes in the area.
In a similar incident, on the morning of November 9, military forces from the Myanmar junta stationed at the Loi Lin Lay Artillery Base fired heavy artillery towards the eastern bank of Pekon Township. Reports indicate there were no confirmed civilian casualties from this attack.
