he Myanmar military conducted an airstrike on Kyauk Nimao, an island under the control of the Arakan Army (AA), resulting in the deaths of approximately 40 civilians, injuries to around 20 individuals, and the destruction of 500 homes. The incident was reported by Arakan Princess Media, citing local sources.

The attack took place on January 8 at around 1:00 PM, when a junta jet fighter dropped bombs on Kyauk Nimao in Ramree Township, Rakhine State. Local reports confirmed that the airstrike claimed numerous civilian lives and caused significant injuries.

Additionally, the bombing led to widespread devastation in Kyauk Nimao, with approximately 500 houses in the southern, northern, and central neighborhoods of the township destroyed by fire.
