The birthday celebration of Aung San Suu Kyi, a leader of the people, held on June 19 in Tokyo, Japan, attracted nearly 2,000 attendees. Funds raised from the 77th birthday celebration of the Nobel Peace Laureate will be directly donated to displaced people affected by fire in the central region of Myanmar’s Sagaing Region, as well as to Dr. Win Myat Aye, the Minister of Disaster Management of the National Unity Government (NUG). The event featured memorabilia donations, photo displays highlighting revolutionary imagery, performances to uplift spirits, birthday wishes, and various presentations to introduce Myanmar culture to the Japanese audience. The celebration concluded with a collective rendition of the song “Strengthening Our Youth.”
