Military Continues to Raid Homes of NLD Representatives in Mohnyin

In Mohnyin, Kachin State, starting today, August 19, residents report that the military junta has been conducting raids and cordoning off the homes of National League for Democracy (NLD) lawmakers and some party supporters. Among those affected are Kachin State lawmaker Daw Thet Htar Naung, National Assembly representative U Min Swe Naing, and People’s Assembly representative U Tin Aye, all of whom won seats in the 2020 elections.

Additionally, locals stated that the military also targeted individuals who participated in protests against the junta, including NLD supporter Ko Kyaw Khine Win, and raided local businesses such as Kyaw Sin Store and Zaw (Mobile) phone shop.
