Mass Protest March in Yinmarbin-Salingyi for the Retention of U Kyaw Moe Tun as UN Ambassador and the Overthrow of Military Dictatorship

On September 7, residents from multiple villages in Sagaing Region’s Yinmarbin-Salingyi area staged a large-scale protest march, demanding the continued appointment of U Kyaw Moe Tun as Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and calling for the end of military dictatorship.

Thousands of people gathered at a key location in Yinmarbin Township, marching along public roads. The demonstrators called for the downfall of the military regime, the establishment of a federal democracy, and expressed their support for U Kyaw Moe Tun to remain the voice of the people at the United Nations. The march showcased the people’s determination to uphold their true will and opposition to the junta’s oppressive rule.
