In the Western Brigade of Yinnmapin, Sagaing Region, various rebel committees, including the Blood-Soaked Golden Necklace Revolutionary Committee, the Mon Ywa People’s Strike Leading Committee, and local communities, joined forces on September 25 to stand against the military dictatorship. “”What you did is just putting the young ones who can raise their hands to airplanes in danger…,”” said a leader of the uprising while gripping a placard, as the crowds passionately rallied to topple the military regime.
“For the children who are shot down with heavy weapons during school hours, for parents who cannot retrieve their child’s corpse, for the detained students and teachers, even if we achieve justice, it will never be enough. We must seek justice for innocent children and those who have suffered loss. The people must unite in a relentless struggle for survival and freedom from the fascist regime,” proclaimed a prominent leader of the resistance movement.
