Over 3,000 Residents Flee into Forests Due to Military Incursion in Yinmarbin

In Yinmarbin Township, Sagaing Region, over 3,000 residents were forced to flee into the forests and mountains during the night due to a military incursion. This information was reported by the Yinmarbin Local People’s Defense Force and confirmed by sources within the Yinmarbin PDF.

On November 19, around 7:30 PM, military troops advanced from the south of Bwan Bwe village toward the Sihlaung mountain, prompting local villagers to escape in panic. It has been reported that residents from nearby villages, including Sihlaung, Thakharze, and Kansu, were among those fleeing.

A spokesperson from the Yinmarbin PDF stated, “All villages, including Sihlaung, Thakharze, and Kansu, have seen over 3,000 residents fleeing as military forces have moved in, causing widespread panic.”
