The military set fire to several villages, including Saw Gyi, The Napsin, Madaung Gyi, and Shwe Ka in Khin-U Township, Sagaing Region, during the night and early morning, according to reports. On November 21 at 8:20 AM, the military began its assault on Saw Gyi Village, with fires breaking out around 10:45 AM. The Napsin Village was also attacked by the military at 2:20 PM today, where homes were set ablaze.
Additionally, in Paung Lae Kone village, 136 houses were burned on November 18 and 19, killing a 70-year-old woman who was thrown into the flames. Another 50-year-old man was killed by artillery fire. On the night of November 20, the military also burned 75 homes in Madaung Gyi and 62 homes in Shwe Ka Village.
Currently, two military columns are patrolling Khin-U Township, setting fire to villages in the area.
