Thousands of Civilians Flee from Eight Villages Amid Military Attacks in Kanbalu Township

Over the course of seven days, intense military offensives in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, have forced thousands of civilians from eight villages to flee their homes, according to local sources. The affected villages, including Kyauk Tine, Kisu, Yatha, Pyekwin, Phokone, Ywarthit, Thaukkan, and Thone Sint Kan, have witnessed extensive destruction, with homes being burned down by the military.

Local resistance sources reported that more than 30 villages in the northern part of Kanbalu have been displaced, with an estimated 20,000 civilians now seeking refuge. In the southern part, at least 10,000 civilians from eight villages have been displaced due to the ongoing military raids.
