Three Civilians Killed in Air and Naval Attacks in Kanethiri Village

In the Kanethiri village of Thayetchaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, three civilians have reportedly died due to air and naval attacks by the military junta, despite no ongoing combat. According to local residents, on the afternoon of May 10, the military used two helicopters and one fighter jet to carry out bombing raids, followed by relentless artillery fire from warships, resulting in the deaths of three civilians.

It has been reported that the military conducted the bombing with approximately 20 grenades on the Kanethiri village without any combat taking place. The deceased have been identified as U Naung Gaw, over 40 years old, U Naing Gyi, 40 years old, and U Nyi U, around 45 years old.

Additionally, locals mentioned that on May 8, the military also conducted an unprovoked bombing in the Kanethiri village, which led to the deaths of two 16-year-old children.
