According to the TNLA, four civilians have been killed, and schools and houses have been destroyed due to artillery shelling by the junta forces in Lashio Township, Shan State, and Tindin and Mogaung towns.
On the morning of July 12, an explosion from an artillery shell fired by the junta forces caused a house to catch fire in Ward 8 of Lashio Township. Additionally, at least five shells landed near Tin Shue Myo in Ward 10.
Reports indicate that on July 11, explosions from artillery shells fired by the junta forces in Ward 1, Ward 10, and Ward 8 of Lashio resulted in the deaths of four civilians due to direct hits from the artillery, and one house was also completely burned.
Similarly, around 1 AM on July 12, in Tindin, which is controlled by the Arakan Army (MNDAA), three aerial bombs dropped by the junta forces caused significant damage to the number 1 high school, the education office, and an elementary school.
Furthermore, in the eastern part of Mogaung Township, near Min Tan Bridge, an artillery explosion by the junta forces did not result in any casualties but damaged five houses in the township.
Over the past 18 days, the junta forces have reportedly killed 58 civilians and injured 82 due to aerial and artillery attacks targeting the civilian population. Additionally, nearly 100 houses have been destroyed as a result of artillery strikes.
