A ground-level public protest under the theme “Accelerate the Revolution: Stand Up and Rise” was held on August 17 in San Francisco, California, organized by the Free Burma Action Committee-Northern California. The protest marked the 137th demonstration against the Myanmar military dictatorship.
The demonstration was joined by Spring Revolution supporters and locals, with leading participation from Ashin Thawara (Norway), who is currently on an international tour to promote the Spring Revolution. During the protest, he delivered a speech highlighting the necessary determination and mindset required to continue the revolutionary efforts against the military regime.
