The Myanmar military has launched consecutive airstrikes in the western part of Myin Township, Magway Region, according to the Anyar Coalition Forces. At around 3:50 p.m. today, junta forces used jet fighters and Mi-35 helicopters to bomb the area, the group reported.
“The jets flew over the western part of Myin five times and fired twice. At 4:30 p.m., Mi-35 helicopters also conducted multiple strikes,” a representative of the Anyar Coalition Forces said.
Additionally, five civilians were injured in Nyaunglebin District, Bago Region, after the military shelled villages in Muu and Ledu townships, according to the Karen National Union (KNU). On the night of August 14, two civilians from Bura Leha village were injured by artillery fired by Battalion 439 in Muu Township. The injured were identified as Htet Hlaing Oo and Khin Cho Lwin.
The following day, August 15, at 1:00 p.m., junta forces from the Ootphek military base attacked Kyat Taik Nyaung Pin village with drones, injuring 60-year-old Myint Thein and 57-year-ol
