Military Airstrikes Target Naungcho Town, Injuring Three Civilians

Three civilians were injured after the military carried out airstrikes on Naungcho town in Shan State, dropping four 500-pound bombs, according to the TNLA. The attack occurred in the early hours of September 22, at around 1:05 a.m., when a jet fighter bombed the Tafankone neighborhood, releasing three 500-pound bombs.

The bombing resulted in injuries to three local civilians and damaged three homes, two cars, and one motorcycle in the neighborhood.

Similar airstrikes were reported the previous morning at around 7:30 a.m., when a Y-12 aircraft dropped bombs on three locations within Naungcho town, including the night market, the main market, and an area near Market Quarter 4. One civilian was injured, and several homes and shops were damaged.

According to the TNLA, these daily bombings by the military, which include 500-pound bombs and artillery fire, have resulted in the deaths of 15 civilians, including two children, and injured 13 others. The strikes have also damaged 27 civilian homes, two monasteries, and one school.
