Military Drone and Artillery Strikes in Nyanglay Pin District Injure Six Civilians, Including Three Children; One Pagoda Damaged

In the Nyanglay Pin District of Bago Region, villages in Kyauk Gyi and Shwe Kyaung Townships faced military drone and artillery attacks, resulting in injuries to six civilians, including three children, and damage to one pagoda, according to a statement from the KNU central committee.

On September 29, around 9:15 AM, the military’s Khamar-598 battalion fired ten rounds of artillery, hitting three areas near Nyangchey Thaw village and seven rounds landing within Shamsu village, which also caused damage to one pagoda in the village.

Additionally, the Khamar-598 battalion launched artillery strikes on Shanfay and Thekkaykon villages around 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, resulting in injuries to three civilians, including Daw Nhin Nhin, 50, and Ko Myo Htut Aung, 25, from Shanfay and Thekkaykon villages.

On October 2, around 2:30 AM, the Khamar-307 battalion conducted a drone strike in Thanakwin village, injuring three children: Ma Myat Su Lin, Maung Min Htun Aung, and Maung Thaw Zin Htun, according to the KNU central committee.
