An airstrike by the Myanmar military targeted Mong Ngaw Town in Kyaukme Township, Shan State, with two 300-pound bombs dropped from jet fighters. The attack, which occurred at 11:35 AM and 11:38 AM today, injured five women and destroyed 15 homes in Man Lone Ward, according to the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA).
Local residents reported significant damage caused by the airstrike, which left civilians scrambling for safety. “The military has been carrying out daily air raids targeting civilians, resulting in injuries, fatalities, and destruction of property,” the TNLA stated. The organization urged the public to remain vigilant, avoid gatherings, and follow issued air-raid precautions.
In a related incident, the military fired two 122mm artillery shells near the Dutawadi Bridge and Kyauk Gu Road. These shells struck Tharyetchaw Village in Nawngcho Township, wounding two civilians. The ongoing assaults underscore the increasing reliance on aerial and heavy artillery attacks by the military, contributing to widespread civilian harm and displacement.
The TNLA reiterated the necessity for civilians to take proactive safety measures and avoid locations likely to be targeted by airstrikes or shelling.
