The Myanmar military, accompanied by Pyu Saw Htee militias, raided Sparamyaw Village in Pauk Township, Magway Region, on December 15. The assault resulted in the killing of five civilians, the detention of more than 60 residents, and the burning of two houses, according to local sources.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., the military and Pyu Saw Htee forces stormed Sparamyaw Village, detaining 70 residents and setting two houses on fire. The troops withdrew from the village later that day, taking the detainees with them.
On December 16, the bodies of five detainees were discovered near Pyu Saw Htee Village. The victims, identified as Ko Thein Win, Ko Maung Nyain, Ko Phyo Kyaw, Ko Nay Toe, and Hlaing Htet, were reportedly executed by the military. Their bodies were abandoned at the site.
