Bombing Attack in Shwe Sei Kyi Village Results in Death of 58-Year-Old Woman and Injuries to 12-Year-Old Child

In the latest attack on Shwe Sei Kyi village in Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region, the military used three fighter jets to drop bombs, marking the third such assault on the area. As a result, 58-year-old Daw Myint Than was killed, and a 12-year-old child was injured. According to a spokesperson from the Taungtha Township People’s Movement Committee, the bombing took place at around 4:20 AM on January 5, 2025, when military aircraft from the direction of Meiktila launched the attack.

The explosion caused severe damage to residential homes in the village, with one house completely destroyed. The bombing also resulted in the death of Daw Myint Than and injuries to the 12-year-old child. Additionally, two cows were killed, and two others sustained injuries during the attack.
