The Karen National Union (KNU) has reported that two civilians were killed in an airstrike carried out by the military on Tablu Kho Khee village in Kawkareik Township, Karen State, despite the absence of any ongoing clashes in the area.

According to reports, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on March 19, a Yak-130 jet fighter from the Naypyidaw Air Force conducted the bombing operation on the village without any preceding battle. The attack resulted in the deaths of a 36-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, as well as the destruction of a house and a warehouse.

The KNU further stated that the military has been deliberately targeting non-military sites, including religious buildings, public hospitals, schools, and residential areas where innocent civilians reside. The group condemned the ongoing airstrikes as intentional attacks against the civilian population.
