Two Civilians Killed as Military Shells Displaced Residents Collecting Food in Chaung Lamhu Village

Two civilians were killed when the military fired artillery shells at displaced residents who had returned to their homes to collect food supplies in Chaung Lamhu village, Tanintharyi Township, according to a local resistance fighter.

The attack occurred on the afternoon of March 21 as displaced villagers attempted to retrieve essential food items. Reports indicate that a military drone surveilled the area before troops stationed in Theinkhun village fired 120mm artillery shells at the returning residents.

As a result of the shelling, two villagers, identified as Ma Mime Me and Ko Thaung Pu, were killed, while two others sustained serious injuries, local sources confirmed.
