Two displaced women were killed in an airstrike carried out by the military on Shawphyu Kone village in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region, according to a representative from Kawlin Info.
The aerial bombing occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on April 11, when a military aircraft dropped bombs on the village, sources confirmed.
During the attack, a 56-year-old internally displaced woman named Daw Win Kyi was killed instantly, while another 40-year-old woman died while being transported to the hospital, according to local reports.
