The Myanmar military raided Naukone Village in Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, killing a woman and burning eight houses, according to the local People’s Defense Force (PDF). The attack occurred around 9:30 a.m. when three military vehicles arrived, and soldiers opened fire as they stormed the village. Another resident was injured by gunfire, while the military destroyed eight homes and three haystacks during the assault.
Meanwhile, in Khinu Township, the military-backed Pyu Saw Htee group attacked Shwe Ku Taik Su Village at around 10 a.m., burning six homes. According to a local news source, the group also killed one pig and three buffaloes owned by the villagers and looted food supplies from the homes.
