Myanmar Nationals in Japan Protest Outside ICRC Office in Tokyo Demanding Action Against Military Killings of Activists

Myanmar nationals in Japan, leading a protest outside the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Tokyo, expressed their dissatisfaction with the military’s unlawful detention of activists Ko Jin Mi, Ko Zeya Thaw, Ko Aung Thu Ya Zar, and Ko Hla Myo Aung. They called for international organizations to take action against the Myanmar military.

The protest, held on July 25, aimed to demand accountability for the military’s unlawful death sentences imposed on political prisoners, as well as to highlight violations of the International Human Rights Declaration. Protesters emphasized the urgent need to address the oppressive measures being inflicted upon political prisoners by the military.
