Today, at 1 PM, a demonstration is taking place in front of the UK Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street in London, demanding the continued appointment of UN Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun and recognition of the National Unity Government (NUG). The protest is organized by a coalition of Myanmar nationals residing in the UK, voicing support for Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun’s continued role as Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
During the protest, a letter from the people of Myanmar addressed to the UK Foreign Office was read aloud, advocating for the support of Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun as the voice of the people. The demonstrators called for the recognition of the NUG government and urged the international community to refrain from acknowledging the violent military junta.
