In the northern Shan State, an airstrike by the military targeted the Shwe Myint factory and its surrounding area in the Mae Hkan village group of Lashio, resulting in the death of one civilian riding a motorcycle and significant damage to the factory and nearby structures, according to a statement from the Lashio Reconstruction Committee.
On October 25, between 1:17 PM and 1:45 PM, military aircraft conducted an airstrike, dropping five powerful bombs in the vicinity of the Shwe Myint factory in the Mae Hkan village group. The explosions caused extensive destruction to the factory building and numerous surrounding structures, resulting in the death of one civilian who was riding a motorcycle.
Reports indicate that the military junta has conducted nearly 30 airstrikes on non-military targets in Lashio, leading to civilian casualties and significant losses. The Lashio Reconstruction Committee has condemned these airstrikes as war crimes, highlighting the ongoing attacks on civilian areas.
