Around 200 homes in Mindat Town, Chin State, were reportedly destroyed following aerial bombings, artillery shelling, and arson attacks carried out by the military junta. Temples, schools, and residential areas were heavily impacted, according to Ko Yawman, spokesperson for the Mindat Township People’s Administration.

During the ongoing battle for control of Mindat, military forces allegedly launched airstrikes, fired heavy artillery, and set civilian homes on fire. The extensive destruction has left many families displaced and without shelter.

“Approximately 200 homes have been destroyed, either by fire, artillery shells, or bomb damage,” stated Ko Yawman, emphasizing the severe toll on civilians in the area.
