In Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State, a teacher was killed, and two others were injured, including a child and a woman, due to artillery shelling by the military, as reported by local residents.
On the morning of November 5, around 11 a.m., artillery shells from the military’s Operation Command No. 15 struck Thayekang Myo (Muslim) village, resulting in the death of one teacher at the scene and injuries to two others.
The deceased teacher, identified as U Abunoseh, was over 30 years old. Injured individuals included a 32-year-old woman named Laina, who suffered wounds to her right arm, and a five-year-old child, Mamat Anu, who sustained injuries to his lower limbs.
A local elder from Thayekang Myo (Muslim) village, wishing to remain anonymous, stated, “This is not a battle. The Myanmar military from Operation Command No. 15 fired artillery shells into the village. They fired four shells, with three explosions. Initially, a child was injured, and when the teacher went to check, he was hit by a shell and died on the spot.”
