Military Arson in Obo Village, Myingyan Township; Over 70 Homes Burned and One Civilian Arrested

On December 30, in Obo village of Myingyan Township, Magway Region, a military assault reportedly resulted in the burning of over 70 homes, according to the Myingyan-Nwe Oo Resistance Group. At approximately 4:20 AM on December 30, armed forces stationed in the village set fire to homes and arrested one civilian. “This morning, Obo village experienced its third arson attack, with over 70 homes reportedly destroyed. Although one civilian was arrested, we have not yet confirmed if they have been released,” a spokesperson from the Myingyan-Nwe Oo Resistance Group stated.
