This morning, shell rockets hit and exploded inside the Northeastern Regional Military Headquarters in Lashio, northern Shan State, causing fires, according to a source from the resistance military. The clashes, which began on July 29, were initiated by MNDAA-led resistance forces and intensified today. Starting early this morning, heavy fighting ensued, and by 10:30 a.m., more than 10 shell rockets hit the military headquarters, igniting fires and producing large plumes of smoke.
“At around 10:30 a.m. this morning, approximately 10 shell rockets hit and exploded inside the Northeastern Regional Headquarters. Many shell rockets were fired, but 10 of them struck the headquarters directly. Fighting is now occurring within a mile radius of the headquarters, which has been encircled and blockaded,” the military source stated.
