Military Airstrikes Target Five Villages in Hkin-u Township, Displacing Thousands Peoples

In Hkin-u Township, Sagaing Region, military airstrikes targeting five villages have forced thousands of residents from over ten nearby villages to flee to safety.

According to Tu Khaing Zaw (Amay Thar), the spokesperson for the People’s Defense Comrades based in Ye U, the military launched consecutive airstrikes over two days on August 30 evening and the early morning of today, affecting Madawngyi, Shwekar, Thenausain, Bawoo, and Sipotaya villages.

As of now, due to ongoing air activity by the military, it remains unclear if there have been casualties among the residents or the extent of damage in the villages, but reports indicate that at least six airstrike incidents have occurred.

Furthermore, it has been reported that residents from the bombed villages and over ten neighboring villages are currently fleeing to safety.
