In northern Shan State, an airstrike by the military on civilian areas in Namkham and a refugee camp in Phaikhu town left 20 civilians dead, including 7 children, a pregnant woman, elderly citizens, and other innocent people, according to local sources. The casualties also included a humanitarian worker.

In Namkham, 11 civilians were killed, including two children, when a military jet dropped 500-pound bombs near residential areas close to the night market. The victims comprised five men, four women, and two children. The attack also left 11 civilians injured, including two children, four men, and five women. Six houses were destroyed, and one of the deceased was confirmed to be a pregnant woman.

Meanwhile, a simultaneous airstrike at 9:30 PM on the Ban Gawk refugee camp in Phaikhu town left 9 civilians dead, including 5 children, 2 women, and 2 refugees. The attack occurred as families were resting at night, resulting in a tragic loss of life, including families being wiped out in the air raid. Six others were also injured during the strike.

The deceased included a humanitarian worker from Karuna Philanthropic Organization, Aik Lin, along with his pregnant wife and their child. A 12-year-old child named Sai Lein Lein, Daw Saung The, and Ma Shwe Ein were also among the casualties.
