In Tanintharyi Township, the military launched a drone and heavy weapons attack on Kyaw Htein Kone village, resulting in the deaths of four civilians, according to a spokesperson from the People’s Defense Forces in Myeik District.
On the morning of September 11, the military targeted a tea shop in Kyaw Htein Kone village with drone strikes, killing three women inside the establishment. The deceased were identified as 60-year-old Daw San Thi, 40-year-old Daw San Thwe, and 18-year-old Mhyu Za Aye. Reports indicate that Daw San Thwe was directly hit by a bomb and died instantly, while the other two succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical treatment.
Furthermore, military personnel continued their assault on the village with heavy weapons, causing additional destruction to residential homes. A 23-year-old man named Ko Nay Nain (aka) Dee Dot was reportedly killed by shrapnel while on his way to seek medical treatment for his injuries from the explosion.
The drone and heavy weapons assault by the military resulted in four civilian fatalities, with approximately four houses destroyed and two other villagers sustaining injuries.
