In an airstrike carried out by the military council, five civilians were killed and eight others injured in Nanbain village, located in the northern Shan State, near Lashio Township, according to a statement from the MNDAA. The incident occurred on the evening of September 13, 2024, around 7 PM, when military aircraft targeted residential areas in the village, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent lives.
Additionally, the military council reportedly conducted multiple airstrikes in the Nanchao Township area between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM on the same day, causing further destruction within the confines of the Nanchao police station and surrounding neighborhoods. It was reported that a total of 13 bombs were dropped throughout the day, leading to significant damage to buildings and infrastructure, as stated by the TNLA.
