Intense Fighting Continues at Military Camp Kha Lay 23 in Thipaw; Military Launches Airstrikes on Camp 354 in Naungcho with 59 Bombs and Chemical Weapon

In Thipaw, Shan State, intense fighting is ongoing at the military’s Kha Lay 23 camp, according to the TNLA. On October 5, around 5:00 AM, clashes erupted between the TNLA and the military council troops at the Kha Lay 23 camp.

The military council reportedly dropped eight bombs on the Kha Lay 23 camp in Thipaw using a jet fighter and conducted seven airstrikes on Camp 354 of the military in Naungcho, dropping 59 bombs along with chemical weapons.

Additionally, the military also targeted the 902 camp of the military in the southern area of Naungcho village, dropping 60 grenades via Y-8 supply aircraft. The military council is attempting to reinforce its troops from Kyauk Gu in the southern Shan State region into Naungcho Township, leading to confrontations on both sides.
