In Maungdaw, Rakhine State, the ARSA group, under the control of the military junta, attacked a civilian vehicle, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to four others, according to a statement from the AA.
The incident occurred on October 6 at approximately 4:15 PM when a driver returning from purchasing essential goods in Taungpyu, along with six other civilians, was attacked on the road by ARSA forces. The attack led to the death of one individual and injuries to four others.
The deceased was identified as Daw San San Oo, a 38-year-old woman from Aung Mingalar village in Maungdaw, who was killed by gunfire. Additionally, four other civilians sustained injuries from small arms fire, including one with severe abdominal injuries and another with serious head injuries, and they are currently receiving medical treatment, as reported by the AA.
It has been reported that fierce battles are ongoing in Maungdaw between the military junta forces, armed groups under the junta, and AA troops.
