In Thibaw City, Shan State, during an operation to assault all military bases of the rogue military, nearly 200 types of weapons, including heavy artillery from Hauw Hsaw Ja, were seized, according to the TNLA.
On October 13, around 1:00 PM, the PSLF/TNLA successfully raided all military bases of the rogue army at Khlayar 23, taking full control of the area.
The PSLF/TNLA began its attacks on military bases in Thibaw Township on July 20, 2024, under the operation name 1027, and by October 13, they had managed to seize multiple military facilities including Khamyar 503, Khamyar 504, and Khlayar 23, as well as police stations and government offices.
During these battles, the rogue military lost a variety of weapons, including 155 rifles, 7 units of 60 MM mortars, 1 unit of 81 MM mortars, 2 RPGs, and 9 machine guns, as well as numerous mines and military supplies.
Moreover, while the PSLF/TNLA was attacking the Thibaw military bases, the rogue army conducted a total of 105 airstrikes using jet fighters, 167 strikes using Y12 aircraft, 1893 artillery shellings, 8 rocket attacks, and 8 bombings with Hauw Hsaw Ja. They also delivered 440 weapon shipments through Y12 aircraft (79 times), Y8 (2 times), and Mi17 (5 times).
During the conflict between the PSLF/TNLA and the rogue army, attacks aimed at the civilian population resulted in the deaths of 33 local residents in Thibaw, with 80 others injured. Additionally, 2 schools and 47 houses were destroyed by airstrikes.
Furthermore, a total of 78 officers from the police force, who were subjected to unlawful detention while performing military duties, were captured but later released along with their family members under humanitarian grounds.
On October 13, the PSLF/TNLA took complete control of various areas including Naung Cho Myo, Moekok Myo, Moemye Myo, Kyaukmae Myo, and Thibaw Myo, as part of their efforts to manage the conflict.
