November 4, 2024 – In Matta District, Mandalay Region, two elderly civilians were killed in artillery fire by the military junta, according to local sources. The incident occurred on November 3, 2024, at around 11:00 AM when the junta forces fired heavy artillery at civilian homes in Ko Pin village, resulting in the deaths of two people, including a 70-year-old man.
“Two civilians were hit by the artillery. Their bodies were severely damaged, and we had to collect them piece by piece,” said a local resident. In a separate incident, around 10:17 PM and 10:23 PM on the same day, the junta’s aircraft bombed Zul Kay village in Maungdaw, Rakhine State. The attack resulted in multiple houses being set on fire. The junta dropped 11 bombs totaling 300 pounds, which ignited fires that destroyed three houses. The fire spread across the entire village, as reported by APM, a local news outlet from the region.
